Running from the apocalypse

nuke.jpgUsed to be when one spoke of the end of the world it was God returning to render his final judgement on evil. That day was inevitable because it was His Decision according to His Providence.

For a while it was an end-of-the-world nuclear exchange. Now we are apparently bringing on our own judgement, thanks to the evil of man-made climate change. It's only inevitable if people fail to act to reduce CO2.

That fact alone - that the end of the world depends on man's ability to command it and not God's intentions for it - is worth a pause, a deep breath, and a prayer of repentence. But nobody's doing that. Least of all, evanglical climatists.

I'm going to pray, anyway. Maybe we all should.
