Don,
I am currently working with Discovery Channel who is airing a new series that I believe would be a wonderful tie-in for your readers to help them remember the importance of Christian environmental stewardship, especially as Earth Day approaches. The series is the 11-part, high-definition "Planet Earth" series that shows never-before-seen animals, animal behaviors and landscapes. This series shows images of the beauty and wonder of God's creation and is a reminder that creation is a gift from God not only for people to appreciate and admire, but also to protect and preserve.
The series is currently airing on consecutive Sundays between
now and April 22. While the first three episodes of the series,
including "Pole to Pole" did premiere last Sunday, March 25, these
episodes and all others will air again during a full day marathon on
April 22, which is Earth Day. So, your readers still have a chance to
catch the series. If you would like to view additional information,
including trailers of all 11 episodes, I encourage you to visit
www.alrcnewskitchen.com/planetearth or www.planet-earth.com.
Please let me know if this is of interest to you. Thank you!
Kristin

It is! In our email exchange I shared with Kristin that I'd already heard very positive things about this series from none other than Limbaugh.
You cannot come away from watching this - and I had confirmed my thought that God created this magnificent planet and its climate and environment and all that.
Over the St. Patrick's Day holiday, the Eco-Wife, kids and I enjoyed the movie "Deep Sea 3D" at the New England Aquarium last month (IMAX). We all walked away with a deeper appreciation of how beautiful God's creation is. I can't imagine folks of faith wouldn't see a T.V. series like this the same way.
For unbelievers, I think such an experience means the stewardship message doesn't even really need to be "preached;" it becomes obvious.
Kristin sent me a bunch of press materials that I can email if you're interested. Just drop me a note.
UPDATE: Noticed the Blogad folks added an advertisement for the Planet Earth series. For what it's worth, Kristin didn't seem to know anything about the ad, and I hadn't talked to Discovery Channel about a blog post on the subject.
